5 Ways to Reduce Your Carbon Footprint at Home
We’re doing our part to reduce our carbon footprint by driving electric cars, but what can we do at home to help our planet’s dying ecosystem? Thankfully, there are several ways your can lower your carbon footprint right at home.
From environmentally-friendly food storage to using clean energy whenever possible, the energy you consume at home can create tons of waste!
But you don’t have to stop there. There are several other ways you can make an impact without fixing your home. Here are a few things you can do!
1. Use Energy Efficient Appliances
Using energy-efficient appliances is one of the simplest ways to reduce your carbon footprint at home. For example, choose energy star-labeled refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines, and dryers to reduce the amount of electricity and water you use in your home.
Additionally, you can replace your older lightbulbs with LED or CFL bulbs, as these last twice as long and use less energy. By making these small adjustments in your energy consumption, you can dramatically reduce your carbon footprint.
2. Increase Solar Heat
